Pocketnest welcomes Joel Powell, principal software engineer, to double its dev team

Pocketnest welcomes dev-extraordinaire, Joel Powell to the Pocketnest team as our full-time principal software engineer.

During his more than 25-year tenure as a software developer and leader, Joel's worked for the likes of Microsoft, ADP, and Dow Jones. And, yep, now Pocketnest!

It goes without saying that Joel is mad-talented, as he's mastered the ins and outs of software development, infrastructure management, and product development. Heck, he's even a published author of three books on programming and gaming. He's also a super-passionate dude who puts the needs of others—users, customers, teammates, you name it!—in front of himself. We think he's quite the catch.

When Joel's not elbow-deep in Pocketnest code, you'll probably find him jamming out in his studio. He's a lifelong musician (and musical educator!) with a passion for jazz and the blues. His instruments of choice? Guitar and piano.
